Check out the four girl band trends still used today

The famous group Spice Girls, a hit from the 90s, surprised fans earlier this month by attending the birthday party of one of the members, Victoria Beckham. The other members Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisolm appeared in a video singing the 1997 hit “Stop” in karaoke, which went viral on social media. The moment was recorded by former football player David Beckham, Victoria's husband.

The group was successful not only on the music charts, but on the catwalks, creating fashion trends that were reinvented several times over the decades and are still used today. Four of them will be explored in this article.

Animal print

Worn by singer Mel B, the “animal print” trend represents a woman with attitude at the height of her success. The singer always wore casual looks and striking prints, especially the leopard print, which was her favorite. Currently, a trend is resurfacing with new prints and other types of fabrics, structured or fluid, in addition to always being accompanied by accessories.

Platform sneakers

Increasingly louder, platform sneakers are also one of the Spice Girls' hallmarks of this generation. When composing the look, using tank tops, sports pants, short dresses and casual hairstyles, platform sneakers stand out. Used in tight designer versions for bold looks or tailored for comfort looks, they are for all tastes, for those who want styles on their feet when going out.

Minimalism

Minimalism, or, Quiete Luxury is a true mix between the elegant and the discreet, very popular in the 90s, and now too. Widely used by designer Victoria Beckham, her new brand in her career, such as Posh Spice, even though the pieces were simple and even monochromatic, they were still stylish. In the 90s, minimalism stood out from other extravagant trends of the time. With neutral colors, simple lines, absence of details, as is classic tailoring, a new way of using pieces.

Sports mood

This style also left a very strong impression in shows, music videos and presentations. Composed of being singer Mel C's favorite, tank tops, pants and accessories. Before it became a trend today, the Sport Spice outfit was the athleisure style, represented by the mix of formal and sportswear. It's not difficult to consider this style in today's streetstyle clicks.

Finally, each girl had her own style with some characteristic that left a fashion legacy for all her fans.
