Chelsea sets new mark for biggest score in the Conference League and takes the lead

This Thursday (07), Chelsea staged the biggest defeat ever recorded in the history of the Conference League by defeating Noah, from Armenia, 8-0. The clash, valid for the third round of the competition, took place at the Stamford Bridge stadium, in London.

The victory consolidated the unbeaten record of the English team, which maintains a 100% record after three games and takes the overall lead in the tournament, thanks to its significant goal difference (13). Despite this, five other teams also remain unbeaten so far and have nine points: Legia Varsóvia, Jagiellonia, Rapid Viena, Vitória de Guimarães and Heidenheim.

The big name of the match was João Félix, who scored two goals and created the play that culminated in Christopher Nkunku's goal. The French striker also scored the eighth and final goal of the rout. Another player who stood out was midfielder Enzo Fernández, who provided three assists, helping with goals from Adarabioyo, Disasi and the first from Félix. The score was completed by Marc Guiu and Mudryk, in a performance that showed Chelsea's technical superiority over their Armenian opponents.

Betis victory

On the same day, Betis also emerged victorious, beating Celje 2-1, highlighted by Brazilian defender Natan, who opened the scoring with a header in the 30th minute of the second half. However, the defender had to be replaced after colliding with the opposing defender, suffering a cut to his head. Despite Celje's momentary equalizer, Juanmi guaranteed the Spanish team's triumph in stoppage time. The Brazilian striker participated at the end of the match, making an important contribution to the victory.

The round also featured other Brazilians standing out. Luquinhas, a former Fortaleza player, scored two of the four goals in Legia Warsaw's victory over Dinamo Minsk. In Cyprus, Anderson Silva, with an assist from Jajá, secured Pafos' 1-0 victory over Astana, keeping the team's hopes alive in the tournament.
