The Summer Festival, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, closed in style at Parque de Exdições, Salvador, providing memorable musical experiences. Sunday (28) was marked by exciting meetings, with Thiaguinho and Maria Rita, Gloria Groove and Péricles, and iconic presentations, including Caetano, Lulu Santos, Gabriel o Pensador and the black protagonist with Daniela Mercury, Margareth Menezes and Ilê Aiyê.

The highlight of the night was Caetano Veloso's historic show, revisiting the album 'Transa', which was recorded during his exile during the military dictatorship. The Summer Festival stage witnessed the solidification of lasting musical friendships, such as that of Thiaguinho and Maria Rita, who, after 20 years, moved the public with mutual declarations of admiration.

Afro protagonism and musical diversity

The event exalted musical diversity with powerful voices, such as Gloria Groove and Péricles, Bahia preta gained prominence with the performance of Daniela Mercury, Margareth Menezes and the afro block Ilê Aiyê, which celebrated its golden jubilee. This fusion of local talent highlighted the richness and diversity of Afro-Brazilian culture.

Seu Jorge shone in a collaboration with Mano Brown's rap, as well as a duet originating in the national trap scene with Teto and Matuê, ending the festival with a flourish.

Journey to the 90s

Lulu Santos and Gabriel o Pensador provided a nostalgic trip to the 90s, singing songs that were successful at that time. The audience cheered and sang along, showing the strength of music and the power it has to unite people.
