There is already a formal proposal with the club, both Corinthians and the player's agent are interested in the transfer, Benfica just needs to accept the negotiation.

The transfer window is set to close on September 2nd, and Corinthians is racing against time to try to sign a new striker. The team has already signed Spanish striker Héctor Hernandez, who is still waiting for some bureaucratic issues to be announced, but is still looking for another player in the attacking sector, as he has been the target of much criticism due to the poor performances of Yuri Alberto and Pedro Raúl, who have not lived up to expectations and have been in a goal drought for a long time.
This is not the first time that the club has tried to sign Arthur. It also tried in 2022, when he was still playing for Basel FC, from Switzerland, and was the top scorer in Europe. However, the Swiss team asked for 15 million euros (92,538,000.00 million reais, at the current rate), which made the signing unfeasible. At the time, the player himself admitted that he was interested in playing for the people's team. “Man, I don't know exactly what happened between Corinthians and Basel, but I think it had to do with the values. The numbers (from the negotiation with Fiorentina) are really high for the standard of Brazilian football. But I never said no to Corinthians. I was open to returning to the country,” Cabral said in an interview with UOL, in 2022.
About Arthur Cabral
Arthur was revealed by the Ceará team in 2015, had spells at teams such as Palmeiras, Basel and currently plays for Benfica, was called up by the Brazilian national team in 2021, but did not enter the field, however he was considered as the possible striker for the national team in the 2022 World Cup. Cabral has a total of 97 goals scored and 19 assists in his career, entering the field 195 times, currently the player is a reserve at Benfica and is looking for a new home in this transfer window.
