Taking this vaccine is extremely important, as Covid is an extremely lethal virus; it has several variants and mutates quickly, becoming increasingly aggressive. For this reason, experts claim that it is more effective in preventing the Corona Virus.
The forecast is that 34,200 doses of this vaccine will be distributed to municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. During the months of February and March, new batches of the vaccine should arrive for the protection of citizens. Vaccination is expected to start next week, and the first groups to be vaccinated will be residents and servants of long-term care facilities.

The priority will obviously be the groups most susceptible to death from Covid. After these groups are vaccinated, people aged 70 or over, citizens who have immunological diseases and indigenous, quilombola and riverside communities enter. This would be the first phase of vaccination. For the second phase, people aged between 60 and 69 years appear, for the third phase, pregnant women and mothers of newborns enter. In the fourth phase, health workers will be vaccinated, and in the fifth phase, people with permanent disabilities, and so on. The division of groups was designed to serve the people most vulnerable to the virus first, as has been done from the beginning. The vaccination strategy for priority groups is one dose of the bivalent vaccine for those who have taken at least two doses of previous versions of Covid vaccines, with at least a 4-month wait between the dose to be applied and the last one received.
