Cristiano Ronaldo is irritated by Al Nassr's performance and does not participate in awards ceremony

Al Nassr's comeback defeat to Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabian Super Cup angered star Cristiano Ronaldo. After Jorge Jesus' team scored their fourth goal, which made it 4-1, the Portuguese forward demanded that his team be careful and even mocked his teammates' performance. After the final whistle, Ronaldo went straight to the locker room and ignored the award.

Despite the bad ending for Cristiano, the game started favorably for Al Nassr, who opened the scoring with Ronaldo himself at the end of the first half. However, the game turned around in the second half, and Luís Castro's men saw Milinković-Savić, Mitrović (twice) and Malcom score in 17 minutes to secure Al Hilal's second Saudi Super Cup title.

After the referee blew the final whistle, Cristiano went straight to the locker room and did not attend the Saudi Super Cup awards ceremony, which marks the start of the season. The star player seemed very unhappy during the second half and even criticized the team several times throughout the match. After conceding the fourth goal, in the 27th minute, Ronaldo gestured to the team, complaining about the team's “blackout”.

This was the fifth Super Cup win for Jorge Jesus' team, which has been dominating Saudi football with major investments and impressive results. Since arriving at Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo has been faced with the Saudi club's rivalry with Al Hilal, considered one of the biggest in Asia.

Announced at the end of 2022, Cristiano beat Al Hilal just once, in the final of the Arab Champions Cup, the Portuguese's only achievement wearing the Al Nassr shirt.

Last season, Ronaldo was the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League with 35 goals, becoming the top scorer in a single edition of the Saudi championship and the first player to be top scorer in four different national leagues (England, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia).
