“Dangerous Assault” is taken off the air

This Sunday, the 17th, another chapter of the fight between Melody and Anitta was aired. Through Twitter, A Girl From Rio responded to Melody's insults and provocations.

Melody hinted that the hit “Involve” – responsible for taking Anitta to the top 1 of Spotify globally – did not achieve organic growth and that her music, “Dangerous Assault”reached the top 1 on Spotify Brazil organically.

Anitta responded saying: “I know the composers of the song that you hit the top 1, sister. Anitta's reply was enough for the singer's fans to report the plagiarism in “Dangerous Assault” for the composers of “Positions”original version of the song.

Also on Twitter, an Anitta fan wrote the following message: “Hi, Republic Records, this song is a rip-off of 'Positions' and you're profiting from it, the streams already total 40 million without giving due credit to the artist”. Nija, one of the composers of “Positions”replied to the message: “Wait a minute”he said.

Hours later, the unauthorized version created by Melody was taken down by Apple Music and the song's music video was also taken down by YouTube. In a live on Instagram, Anitta's fans told the Powerful what “Dangerous Assault” had been taken off the air and the singer joked saying: “It was karma.” Soon after, Anitta stated that she had nothing to do with what happened.

In 2021, Melody performed a new version of “Fake Love” (Anitta feat. Sweetie), titled “Fake Love”. The release of the track was prohibited by Warner Records, Anitta's record label, for not obtaining the necessary authorizations.
