Daniel Erthal talks about his reinvention with the new venture

Daniel Erthal, the actor who went viral on the networks after being caught as a street vendor on the streets of Copacabana, participated this Tuesday (16) in the Podcast Papagaio Falante, presented by Serginho Malandro and Luiz França. During the chat, Daniel commented on the difficulties he faced that motivated him to undertake.

How the venture came about

After the actor ended a long contract he had with Record, the pandemic came and, unemployed, he decided to start in the business sector. Before the success of “Ilha da Sede”, the name of his newest venture, he had four other unsuccessful attempts.

During this period of pandemic, the actor returned to live in the interior of Rio, in Cambuci, together with his parents. He also remembers that the period was difficult, as his father was wrongly diagnosed with cancer. “My mother and I suffered for six months without telling him. We later discovered that he did not have the disease.”.

He returned to Rio to record a project that ended up not being released and he ended up having to share an apartment, due to the cost. “I had to put a man in a small apartment in Barra, I had never lived with a woman in my life, to share the rent. My mind became confused, I lost my freedom. So the last two years were difficult, mentally and physically: I had an injury, I gained 15 kilos. Friends stayed away because you end up infecting people when you’re not well.”

Seeing himself in that situation, he realized that it was time to change, create new habits and learn from his mistakes, because if he remained that way he would fall into a deeper depression. He stated that he never took medication, but became careless and took out all his frustration on food. “Failure taught me a lot. Where I went wrong, why I made a mistake and always wanting to undertake something because I can no longer depend on this artistic medium, someone else having to decide my future”said Daniel.

He reveals that the reconstruction process began with his body and his habits. He returned to his roots, returned to Copacabana, where he lived at the beginning of his career. Thinking about what he would like to work on, he identified a demand for cold beer in the region, as most are sold hot or need to go to the bar, and opened his business.

With all the success it has been having, it adds that it is managing to legalize its trade, and will soon announce partnerships with brands and other improvements to its business. Daniel says that at the moment his priority is to continue the venture and he sees a very prosperous future. As for his acting career, he is not closed to any invitation.

The Kombi

Since going viral on the internet with his new venture, Daniel has been welcoming several famous friends and fans to his stall. Your sales are booming, as are your social networks. The actor comments on these great moments he has experienced in 2024, since the video he shared at the turn of the year. Last week, for example, the actor received a kombi as a gift from a couple of fans.

The car has been very useful for the enterprise, the actor uses it to transport his drinks to his point of sale, without having to push the cart he uses for this transport.
