Danni Suzuki makes statement after saving drowning child
On Sunday afternoon (14), actress Danni Suzuki came through her social networks to talk about an experience that according to her was one of the most difficult of her life. She says that she was trying to rescue a 3-year-old boy, who had just drowned in a pool when she came across a scene where there was a child lying on the grass and with several people around him.
According to the actress, the incident occurred on Saturday (13) while she was driving and passing through a crowded area, which made her check the situation to find out what it was about and try to help. “A child who had just drowned in the pool. I saw that wet and purple little body on the ground, in the middle of several desperate people, and I left the car in the middle of the street. It was a boy of about 3 years old, apparently already dead on the grass,” she said.
Danni said she immediately called her son Kauai's pediatrician, Dr. Daniel Becker, who immediately started a video call with the artist, recommending that she perform cardiac massage and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the child, in an attempt to expel all the water she had swallowed. “I don't know how to explain what happened during that endless time when I stood there repeating the operation amidst the screams of the desperate nanny and the child's twin sister, who was crying beside me.
Distressed, she says she stayed at the scene of the incident for an average of 20 minutes while she watched a lot of water coming out of the boy's body. After that, she reports that a street security guard appeared, and then an ambulance that took the child to the hospital. “The next thing I knew, there I was in the kitchen of the child's house trying to talk to his grandfather to find his father. Finally, he arrived in despair and went to the hospital. I looked for someone in their right mind to take care of the boy's sister who remained in my arms, crying.”
The actress said that one of the people present at the time of the incident contacted her via Instagram and informed her that the boy was hospitalized in the ICU. And today, hours after the contact, a photo with the word “mourning” was posted on her profile, accompanied by a statement saying that even after the rescue, the boy did not survive.
