Davina Michelle in Eurovision song contest

Davina Michelle and Thekla Reuten together form the interval act of the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest. Water is central during their performance, the Dutch organization announced on Friday.

Almost two years ago, Davina was asked to write a song in which water is central. “Water connects, is resilient and is an inseparable part of the Netherlands,” said the singer. “Together with Eurovision we have worked on a unique act in which these characteristics are central. I wrote the song Sweet Water in which water is used as a metaphor for something that connects people in the world. We are all different and live in different environments, but we all need water and it brings us all together. ” For the performance, recordings have been made at the Delta Works in recent months.
