According to the latest data, the country now has 36,866,658 confirmed cases and 697,345 deaths from Covid-19. Last Thursday (2) the sum of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic was 697,248.

In the last 24 hours, more than 8,742 infections and 97 deaths from the disease have been recorded in the country, but the fatality rate throughout the national territory remains at 1.9%.

In Brazil, there are already 3,269 deaths per million, the worst city with the most deaths is in Rio de Janeiro, where there were 4,391 victims per million. The rates assume the number of deaths that were confirmed by the Ministry of Health and Conass and the population estimate by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) with the year 2021 in each unit of the Federation.
