Débora Falabella's stalker is acquitted by the courts

This Sunday (11), it was confirmed that the woman who stalked actress Débora Falabella was acquitted by the courts. According to the courts, the woman is not sane for her actions.

They also said that she did not pose any risk to the artist's life, helping her to be acquitted. The decision was made by judge Juliana Trajano de Freitas Barão, of the 1st Criminal Court of Barra Funda, of the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJSP) and she confirms that the woman's attitude changed the actress's routine.

Absolution

This acquittal had weight when the woman who was accused had to undergo mental insanity tests, according to the court she is incapable of responding criminally for the acts and recommended that she undergo outpatient treatment, the judge also determined that she will have to spend at least two years in outpatient monitoring that is determined by the court.

Lawyers Diego Cerqueira and Ivana Carneiro, who are defending the accused, said that the judge acknowledged that she was indeed innocent and closed the case, but they want an appeal from the first instance regarding the accused. The accused met the actress for the first time in an elevator in Rio de Janeiro, and since then, numerous incidents have occurred, which have left the actress fearful.

According to the accused's mother, she was first diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2004, when she was studying in Paris. That year, she spent a month in a psychiatric clinic and had her arrest revoked and was deemed unaccountable.

The defendant's lawyers reported that the decision of the São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Office was against it and that they requested the defendant's psychiatric hospitalization. In a power of attorney to the São Paulo Court of Justice, they said that the case remains confidential. The persecution began days after the first meeting with the actress, where she sent gifts such as a white towel, objects and a letter with sexual content. In July 2022, she ran away from home and went to the front of the actress's condominium.
