Demi Lovato receives gold and platinum certificates for album sales in Brazil

This Sunday, the 4th, Demi Lovato received a plaque from her record label, Universal Music, with her sales certifications here in Brazil. Demi was in Brazil to promote her new album “HOLY FVCK”, which involved three shows across the country.

The first took place on August 30th in São Paulo, then another show in Belo Horizonte on September 2nd and ended its visit to the country on September 4th with a show at Palco Mundo do Rock In Rio, where he received the plaque.

The certificate given by Universal Music Brasil included sales for the album “Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over” and the singles “Dancing With The Devil”, “Met Him Last Night”, “I Love Me”, “Anyone” and “SKIN OF MY TEETH”. Demi's certifications were all platinum, except for the first single from her most recent album, which received a gold certification.

In Brazil, these certifications are carried out by Pro-Música Brasil in affiliation with the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and follow the following patents:

• Gold Record – 40 thousand copies
• Platinum – 80 thousand copies
• Diamond – 300 thousand copies

The American singer, songwriter and actress performed on the world stage in the first weekend of Rock in Rio in 2022 with the tour for her new album. The repertoire included mostly the singer's new tracks but also big hits like Skyscraper, Sorry Not Sorry and “Cool for The Summer”, all presented in a more rock style, which is the aesthetic explored by Demi in this new era.

Lovato's sound and visual change was not that surprising for fans, as Rock is a genre that the singer already flirted with during the beginning of her career.
