Discover the forbidden passion between prince and first son in Red, White and Blue Bloods

“History, huh?” Prime Video released this Thursday the long-awaited trailer for the live-action of Casey McQuiston's best-seller, “Red, White and Blue Blood”. Starring Nicholas Galitzine (“Salute to Love”) and Taylor Zakhar Perez (“The Kissing Booth 2”), respectively Henry of Wales, prince of England, and Alex Claremont-Diaz, first son of the United States, the feature film The film arrives in the platform's catalog on August 11th.

After a week full of teasers and photographs from the film, just over a month before the official release, Prime Video published the first full trailer that shows the birth of Alex and Henry's rivalry that turns into an overwhelming passion. The video shows striking scenes from the book such as the cake disaster at the royal family's wedding, Alex's New Year's party and the couple's first kiss, all of which are accompanied by the voice of Lil Nas X in the song “That What I Want”, part of the adaptation's soundtrack.

“Red, White and Blue Blood”, second book by Casey McQuiston, was released in 2019 and quickly became a popular bestseller among young audiences. The plot follows a forced friendship that ends up blossoming into love between members of two of the most powerful families in the world and that could change the course of history. In addition to touches of humor and LGBTQIAP+ representation that goes beyond the protagonists, VBSA addresses issues such as political differences between the two nations, drug use, generation Z anxiety and homophobia.

The film is directed and scripted by Matthew López and in addition to Galitzine and Perez, the cast includes Uma Thurman, Ellie Bamber, Clifton Collins Jr., Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, Stephen Fry, Malcolm Atobrah, Thomas Flynn, Akshay Khanna, Sharon D .Clarke, Aneesh Sheth and Juan Castano.
