discover the new streaming channel that has just arrived in Brazil

The North American merger NBC – Universal (NBC television network and Universal studio merged since 2004) launched its streaming platform this week. Named Universal+, the channel features iconic and timeless series such as “Law & Order” and the new seasons of the “Chicago” franchise.

Partnership between channel and cable TV operator

The launch of the platform is the result of an exclusive collaboration between Claro TV and the Universal channel. The streaming platform is now accessible to Claro TV digital version subscribers. The new channel's programming can be seen on channels 669 and 670, referring to Universal Reality and Universal Premiere respectively. Another access option is via the application, in the onDemand version. The union between the cable TV operator and the entertainment channel in this new venture can be justified in several ways, especially by the fact that Universal is in the top 5 most watched channels on cable or subscription TV networks.

What to expect from the new channel?

One of the biggest highlights of the new streaming channel is the “Poker Face” series. Starring Natasha Lyonne (from “Russian Doll”), the series is a mix of suspense and comedy where the protagonist, Charlie Cale, uncovers apparently unsolved deaths. His adventure companion is none other than Adrien Brody, playing the sagacious Sterling Frost Jr. The plot already has two seasons and good reviews from experts and the public.

Some films are available, but the big focus is on immortal series and franchises like “Law & Order”, the follow-up “SVU”, the “Chicago” franchise, “The Office” and variety shows like “Saturday Night Live”, which will be shown on Saturday nights, live, but will also be available in the catalog to watch asynchronously.
