Disney Magic Run race takes place in August in Curitiba

Curitiba will host the race for the first time Disney Magic Runon the day August 4th. The announcement was officially made on Tuesday (18), in a meeting between Mayor Rafael Greca and organizers Rafael Maia and Angelica Paixão, from AirPromo, and Arthur Trauczynski, representative of Global Vita Sports. Pre-sales begin this Saturday (22) and general sales begin on Tuesday (25).

“It is with great joy that I announce that Curitiba will host the Disney Magic Run on August 4th in its urban area. This is the first time that Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will visit our city. Families will be able to run and meet the most iconic characters from the world of cartoons. Long live Curitiba,” said Mayor Rafael Greca.

With a 5 km running route and a 2.5 km walking route, the expectation is to gather 6 thousand participants, including athletes and families. During the event, participants will be involved in attractions and games with Disney characters.

The meeting point and starting point will be at Positivo University. Participants will be welcomed in an arena specially set up for the event, starting at 5:00 a.m. The warm-up for the race is scheduled for 6:30 a.m., with the start at 7:00 a.m., while those who will walk will warm up at 7:00 a.m. and set off at 7:30 a.m. The routes will be within the campus and on nearby streets.

The pre-sale of the Curitiba edition will be exclusive to Caixa Econômica Federal customers and will take place on June 22, 23 and 24, with a 10% discount on the promotional batch price. Sales to the general public will begin on June 25, with a first limited promotional batch priced at R$199. Registrations can be made until noon on July 28, or while spaces last.
