Doctor Strange 2? Reshoots Revealed with BC!

The film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' (Doctor Strange 2), one of the most anticipated films in the Marvel universe, had its theatrical release date rescheduled for May 6, 2022. The reason is that the film will need to undergo reshoots, as the Studio announced on the morning of this Monday (25).

Rumors suggest that the audience considered the blockbuster “confusing” in a test screening, so it would take more time to work on and rework some scenes. However, the film’s protagonist, Benedict Cumberbatch, spoke out and said that the postponement is a precautionary measure to improve the film, with the aim of adding more scenes and improving the visual effects.We are in the process of making it even better. There are some reshoots coming up that will happen in November and December.”, declared the actor.

In the plot, just like in the first film, Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) continues researching the Time Stone, however, an old friend turned enemy puts an end to his plans and causes Strange to unleash an unspeakable evil. The film also promises many special appearances in the middle of this whole journey.

Directed by Sam Raimi, of the Evil Dead and Spider-Man trilogies, and written by Michael Waldron, with Benedict in the lead role, the cast of 'Doctor Strange 2' is made up of great actors such as Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Xochitl Gomez. The film has not yet had a trailer released, and due to the new filming, it may take a little longer to be revealed.

During a podcast interview Geek VibesWaldron revealed that Doctor Strange will be at the height of his powers. “I think Stephen Strange has been through a lot between the first film and this one. The first one is an incredible origin story of how he became a wizard, but now he’s been through it. He’s faced Thanos and come out alive.”commented the screenwriter.
