Dragon Quest XII – Square Enix will hold a special event to celebrate Dragon Quest’s 35th anniversary on May 27th at 12:00 PM PT, streaming on YouTube.

“May 27th is Dragon Quest Day, and to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the series, we are bringing you a special broadcast to present all the latest information on what is happening – and what is to come – in the world of Dragon Quest. Quest,” said Square Enix.

“For the first time in Dragon Quest history, the show will feature live Japanese interpretation, so that our international fans can also stay up-to-date with developments in the Dragon Quest series,” said the company, explaining that there will be English translation for the event.

Additionally, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii said on Twitter that a lot will be announced in the stream, including “also that game” ( via Gematsu ), hinting that Dragon Quest XII might be announced on the 27th. development confirmed in early 2020, but so far it has not been shown.
