Drake gets tattooed in memory of deceased Virgil Abloh
Drake has had a tattoo done in memory of the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh. The creative director of the men’s line of fashion house Louis Vuitton died at the end of November at the age of 41 from the effects of cancer.
Tattoo artist Joaquin Ganga shares a photo of the work on Instagram. “A tribute to the great Virgil Abloh for Drake,” he writes. The tattoo, on which Abloh throws a kite in the air, is on the rapper’s forearm.

Abloh and Drake worked together on music for years, but were also good friends. Shortly after Abloh’s death, Drake posted some photos of them together on his Instagram, calling him his “little brother.”
The fashion icon fought a rare and aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma, for two years.
“He chose to keep his fight private, after being diagnosed in 2019. He underwent numerous heavy treatments, while continuing to work for various important fashion, art and cultural organizations,” his relatives wrote.
