Dua Lipa releases new excerpt from “Houdini”, her newest single

Full of mysteries and enigmas, pop diva Dua Lipa released another excerpt from “Houdini”, a single that hits digital platforms on Thursday (9) this month. The song is part of the singer's next album, with great influences and inspirations from psychedelic music from the 70s.

With a very bold cover, in which she licks her own reflection in the mirror. The song will be Dua Lipa's newest step, marking the beginning of her new era.

Both the publication of the excerpt, the image and date of “Houdini” were made available through her Whatsapp channel, where the singer always updates the public.

New era approaching

In her latest release, Dua Lipa did a great job on the album “Future Nostalgia”, released in 2020, which features great singles from his career, such as “Don't Start Now”, “Physics”, “Break My Heart”, “Hallucinate” and “Levitating”. Furthermore, she had already admitted in an interview with The New York Times Styles Magazine that she was already in the final stages of her third studio album, which will possibly be available on digital platforms in 2024.

In her new phase, Dua Lipa will navigate the psychedelic sounds of the 70s as a reference. “You have no idea what the (audience's) reaction will be when (the album) is done, so there's this nervousness”, stated the singer.

It is worth noting that this year the artist released a bubblegum single, which became a hit around the world, “Dance the Night”, song from the official soundtrack of the film “Barbie”.
