Dua Lipa's relationship with French filmmaker comes to an end

According to The Sun, Dua Lipa is single. After about eight months together, the singer and French filmmaker Romain Gavras decided to end their relationship.

A source revealed to the newspaper that Dua and Romain “went their separate ways after a summer of love”. The reason for the breakup would be Dua's dedication in preparing for the release of her third album. “She is mindful when it comes to her career and the couple ended their relationship before things got bitter,” the source added.

The spokesperson also revealed that the filmmaker considered the singer a workaholic. However, Dua has no plans to slow down her work pace.”for nothing or no one”.

Dua and Romain's relationship

In February of this year, The Sun itself had announced that Dua Lipa and Romain Gavras were dating. They left the BAFTAs after party together in London, and a source confirmed to the newspaper that the couple was getting to know each other better.

The pair posed in the spotlight for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Dua and Romain had been caught in a romantic mood at Paris Fashion Week a few days earlier and decided to take advantage of their stay in France to make their courtship official to the public at the premiere of the film “Omar La Fraise.

In August, at her 28th birthday party in Ibiza, the singer posted a photo sitting on the Frenchman's lap.

Past relationships

Dua's first public relationship was with British chef Isaac Carew. The relationship lasted for four years, from 2013 to 2017, and got back together the following year, in 2018. They broke up for the last time in June 2019.

During her breakup with Isaac, the singer got involved with the singer of the band LANY, Paul Klein, for a few months between 2017 and 2018.

Shortly after breaking up with the chef, Dua began a relationship with model Anwar Hadid, brother of Gigi and Bella Hadid, and they went their separate ways two years later.

Filmmaker Romain Gavras also had a relationship with another British singer of Albanian origin, Rita Ora, between 2020 and 2021.
