Dudu leaves Palmeiras and Cruzeiro opens its doors

Cruzeiro spoke out this Saturday afternoon (15) to say that it had reached an agreement to sign striker Dudu, from Palmeiras. According to the official report, the hunter arrives definitively and is expected to be evaluated by doctors and contractors next week in Belo Horizonte. The Minas Gerais club will pay R$ 21.5 million in installments to have the 32-year-old player who is now leaving Alviverde.

Dudu will have his second season at Toca da Raposa. He left Cruzeiro's lower divisions and made his professional debut in 2009. He didn't enter the field this year, but he was in his fourth consecutive season in São Paulo time. With Palmeiras, Dudu won two Libertadores, a Super Cup, four Brazilian titles and a Brazilian Cup, he also played for Dynamo Kiev, in Ukraine, and for Al-Duhail, in Qatar.

In the match between Palmeiras and Vasco, last Thursday (13), Dudu was selected and remained on the bench, but did not participate in the match. He was sidelined with a right knee injury last August and has recovered.

Cruzeiro presents reinforcements

With the announcement of the new contract, Cruzeiro adds five reinforcements until the end of the season. Cássio, who wore the Corinthians shirt, was the first to introduce himself; soon after, Kaio Jorge was announced, who would strengthen Raposa's attack; Lautaro Díaz, a striker who was at Independiente del Valle and signed a contract with Cruzeiro until 2028, also came to support the season.

On Friday (14), Time announced the signing of defender Jonathan Jesus, who was from Ceará. However, these reinforcements will only be able to play from July 10th, when the transfer window in Brazil reopens. The striker's departure caught the Alviverde fans by surprise, but since last week, a deal had already been rehearsed. The salary offered to Dudu was higher than what he was earning and, therefore, he could not refuse.
