The Dutch hockey players won the European title on Sunday in Amstelveen. The team of national coach Alyson Annan was too strong for Germany in the final of the European Championship, 2-0.
The Dutch led at the start of the second quarter through a goal by Marloes Keetels, who was in the right place to work in from a penalty corner on the instructions of Caia van Maasakker.
Germany then put a lot of pressure on the Netherlands, but failed to force the equaliser. In the closing stages, Frédérique Matla made it 2-0 from a counter.
