Elden Ring: Where to find the Magnificent Elixir

Elden Ring is a very challenging game, as is standard for From Software titles.

However, there are items that can help a lot on your journey, making battles much more favorable for your character. The Magnificent Elixir is one of them and can be obtained in the first few hours of the game.

What is the Magnificent Elixir?

Imagine the Magnificent Elixir right in your Tear Flask, a charged potion that you can drink at any time. The big difference is that the Magnificent Elixir can be modified to give different effects to your character, greatly amplifying your fighting style. In other words, instead of just healing life or mana, as the Tear Flask does, the Magnificent Elixir can increase some attribute, improve some attack or even increase your resistance against the game's classic evils, such as bleeding or poison.

The flask is very versatile and can be easily modified during the journey, which will leave you prepared for various challenges, including some powerful bosses.

The good news is that the Magnificent Elixir is very easy to collect right at the beginning of the game. It is located in a forested region right next to the first map and does not require facing a powerful enemy to be caught.

Note the position marked on the map. This is Marika's Third Church, which is at the end of a road that starts in the first region. Even if you haven't found the map of the forest region yet, you will be able to see the road that leads to it, so just ride there.

The forest has some powerful enemies at the beginning of the game, such as giant bears, so focus on the objective.

How to modify the Magnificent Elixir?

The Magnificent Elixir can give two effects at the same time and you can combine them however you want. Just sit at one of the Marcos de Graça, the “campfire” in Elden Ring, and go to the option that will appear after you have collected the bottle: “Mix Magnificent Elixir”. Then just choose the two balls that will make up your powerful formula.

How to get new effects for the Magnificent Elixir?

Getting new effects for the Magnificent Elixir is a little more complicated, as it requires both exploration and combat skills. They stay at the feet of Trees Smaller ones, which are usually guarded by tree-shaped bosses or powerful enemies.

The tip is to notice if root-headed enemies start to appear nearby, usually wearing yellow kimonos. These guys are guardians of the Trees. Follow the path they guard to eliminate the boss and get its effects.

Another way to find the Trees is using statues that show the way. They usually stay on top of high hills and have a candle in their hand. When interacting with these statues, they will emit a beam of light that guides you to the combat location. There are several of them per region, so you should eventually come across these statues.
