Sad news for Elise Lucet. According to the information of our colleagues of “Ouest France” published on March 31, the father of the investigative journalist died at the age of 88. Michel Lucet was a teacher in Caen but also a singer with text, under the pseudonym Eusèbe.
This is a new tragedy that strikes the life of Elise Lucet. Eleven years after the death of her husband Martin Bourgeois, an antique dealer with whom she had a daughter named Rose in 2007, the 58-year-old journalist is now mourning the death of her father, Michel Lucet.
It is the media Ouest-France that announced the news Thursday, March 31, 2022, two days after the disappearance of the octogenarian. Michel Lucet is said to have died at the age of 88, at his home in Mittois in Calvados.
The father of the figure of France 2 distinguished himself a large part of his life as a professor of English at the University of Caen but that’s not all, he was also an accomplished artist.

Indeed, Michel Lucet was an author, composer and singer who evolved under the name of Eusèbe. He collaborated with Georges Brassens’ double bassist, Pierre Nicolas, for a 45 rpm for children and two 33 rpm : Ma péniche grise, released in 1975 and Ma motto, in 1978.
Michel Lucet had also been encouraged by his friend Serge Langeois, the director of the Zénith de Caen, to produce a CD of fourteen titles. “Known for his sense of humor and derision, he scoured the scenes of the West and beyond, in the 1970s and early 1980s,” Ouest-France tells us.
Truly a jack-of-all-trades, Elise Lucet’s father also had the opportunity to write a novel entitled Divisé par deux, published in 1988 by Gallimard Jeunesse, as well as a collection of texts and poems, Une effusion avant de dormir published in 2005.
Michel Lucet now leaves behind the presenter of Cash Investigation and another daughter, the writer Sophie Lucet, both born of his marriage to Colette Lucet. According to our confreres, his funeral has already taken place, on Saturday, April 2 in Mittois where he lived.
Elise and Sophie of course made the trip, as did Michel Lucet’s grandchildren, Rose, Victor and Samuel, to pay him a final tribute.
