The actress who plays Princess Diana in the Netflix series “The Crown” decided to pay tribute to Lady Di on the red carpet of the 2024 Emmy Awards, which took place last Sunday (15). Elizabeth Debicki, who draws attention for her physical similarities with the princess, competed for the award for “Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” for the second time. This year, the actress took home such a coveted statuette.

The actress opted for a more sophisticated style, inspired by the looks worn by Lady Di at major events. For the red carpet, Elizabeth chose a long black velvet dress with a square neckline, designed by Dior.

The piece drew attention not only for its beauty, but also for its small similarities to the iconic black glittery dress worn by Lady Di, which caused a huge impact at the time.

The princess also knew how to choose the right look for the summer. In July 1997, during a holiday in Saint-Tropez, Diana wore several colorful swimsuits and even leopard print ones while on a yacht. These choices were approved for the signature of the summer of 97.
