Elon Musk makes sexist comment about Taylor Swift

This Monday (11), the owner of platform X, Elon Musk, made a sexist comment to Taylor Swift on social media after the singer declared a favorable position towards Kamala Harris in the United States presidential elections. In a publication, the billionaire and longtime supporter of Donald Trump made reference to the fact that the American artist has many cats and no children.

Taylor took sides

After being identified as neutral and “endorsing” Donald Trump's candidacy, Taylor Swift went public through social media to take a stand in the face of the US presidential elections. With the publication on Instagram, a photo next to one of her kittens and openly supporting the Democratic party candidate, Kamala Harris, the American singer signed the note of clarification and support as “A woman with cats and no children” (Childless Cat Lady).

The announcement of support for Kamala was accompanied by a text that was published shortly after the official presidential debate between Trump and Harris. Despite openly declaring support for the Democratic party, Swift reinforced the importance of voting and exercising citizenship by US citizens “I did my research and I made my choice. Your research and your decision are yours alone to make.”he wrote in the caption of the publication.

The avid supporter of the Republican candidate did not miss Taylor's statement. On his own social network, Elon Musk decided to comment on the singer's position and was labeled sexist by many internet users. “Okay, Taylor… You win… I will give you a son and protect your cats with my life.”said the owner of the old Twitter.

Despite the great movement on the subject, Taylor Swift did not take a stance on the billionaire's comment.

With Musk, the controversy

The recent banning of X from Brazil had the regular participation of Elon Musk, owner of the platform. After a series of disagreements and attacks exchanged with STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the billionaire decided to “expose the Brazilian's crimes” to his followers on social media.
