Elza Soares wins the MPB of the Year category with “No Tempo da Intolerância”

Today (7), the 30th edition of the Multishow Brazilian Music Awards, one of the most important awards in the country's music market, is taking place. Directly from the Jeunesse Arena, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the ceremony will be broadcast, for the first time, live on TV Globo, as well as Globoplay, Multishow and Rádio Globo. Hosted by Ludmilla, Tatá Werneck and Tadeu Schmidt, the 2023 Awards have 23 categories in total, covering the entire diversity of national music.

MPB of the Year

The Woman of the End of the World, the eternal Elza Soares, immortalizes her work “No Tempo da Intolerância” as MPB of the Year at the 2023 Multishow Awards. The track is part of the artist's first posthumous album, which has the same name. The project was released on June 23, 2023 by the record label Deckdisc. Elza's manager, Pedro Loureiro, was the one who received the award and hailed her as “the queen of Brazilian music”. Check out the speech below.
