Emily Ratajkowski wears a costume inspired by JLo's iconic look

Last Thursday (31), Emily Ratajkowski stopped the web and drew gasps on social media when she shared new clicks on her Instagram profile wearing a Halloween costume. The actress was inspired by the green Versace dress with a plunging neckline that Jennifer Lopez wore at the Grammy Awards in 2000.

Homage to the play with a bold reinterpretation

The 33-year-old model chose to recreate the iconic look worn by the singer, wearing a transparent piece with a similar print to Versace's silk dress. The hairstyle and accessories were also inspired by JLo's production.

In the images, Emily appears wearing the bold look that leaves a lot of skin on display, inspired by the famous emerald green and blue Versace dress with a palm leaf print. Just like the singer's dress, the reinterpretation had a jewel in the central part of the piece, a low cut and a deep neckline that went beyond the navel.

Getting into character, she published two videos on TikTok dubbing the singer's voice. One of the audios was taken from an interview by the artist with Vogue, in 2022, while the other is from the documentary “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story”, released earlier this year.

The look was a hit among Emily's fans, who highlighted the similarity with Jennifer Lopez's look: “Wonderful”commented one. “Straight from the 2000s”highlighted another. “You killed JLo’s look!”said a third.

Green Versace Dress

At the beginning of the year, Jennifer Lopez revealed to American Vogue magazine that her former stylist did not want her to wear the dress at the awards, arguing that other people had already worn the piece. However, the singer was enchanted by the dress called “Green Versace” and decided to wear it, creating a huge stir on the internet at the time. The sexy and scandalous dress generated so many searches that it inspired Google engineers to create Image Search.
