The 2024 Emmy Awards began handing out its first statuettes in the creative division this Saturday (07). In total, 48 awards have already had their winners announced, with another batch being revealed this Sunday.
The Primetime Emmy Awards, with the awards ceremony for the main categories, will take place next weekend, on September 15, on Sunday. Among the series leading the nominations are The Bear and Shogun, competing in more than 20 categories.
The awards ceremony taking place this weekend, the Creative Arts Emmys, are aimed at documentary television productions, reality shows and also more technical categories. Some of the highlights include Best Animation category, which went to Blue Eyes Samurai from Netflix, beating Disney+'s X-Men 97.
The documentary series Welcome to Wrexham, by Ryan Reinolds and Rob McElhenneyalso stood out at the awards. Another regular that did well in the technical categories is Saturday Night Live.
