everything about the VMA 2023

One of the main awards shows in the music world is taking place today (12). The Video Music Awards, better known as the VMAs, are being celebrated for the first time on a Tuesday, directly from New Jersey, in the United States. The 2023 ceremony is being hosted by rapper Nicki Minaj and broadcast on MTV and Pluto TV from 9pm Brasília time.

The traditional MTV awards celebrate 40 years in 2023, having been held since 1984. Taylor Swift leads the year's nominations with eight categories. The Brazilian Anitta will be present among the performances for the second consecutive year at the awards and the third year including the pre-show, in addition to competing in the “Best Latin Video” category with “Funk Rave”.

The boy group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) won the “Push Performance of the Year” category, with the song “Sugar Rush Ride”, released in April 2023.
