Exciting! Luciano Huck declares himself an organ donor in honor of Faustão

The last “Domingão com Huck”, which aired on the afternoon of September 3rd, not only celebrated presenter Luciano Huck's 52nd birthday, but also recalled the health status of Faustão, aged 73, who underwent a delicate heart transplant procedure on August 27th. During the program, between one tribute and another, Luciano took the opportunity to send a message on national television to Faustão.

“I'm very happy, Fausto, for you. Very, very, very happy. May God continue to bless your life”said Huck, moved.

On the same occasion, Luciano took the opportunity to officially declare himself as an organ donor, in order to support the battle experienced by his friend and presenter, Faustão.

“I'm a donor. The day my time comes, I'm a donor and I'm going to join in with Fausto Silva, may this country become an international reference in organ donation. So it's here. Today Sunday is for you, Fausto”, exalted Huck, declaring himself a supporter of the cause.

Previously presented by Faustão and with more than 30 seasons, the program “Domingão”, which is always broadcast at 6pm, had its legacy marked on Brazilian television by Fausto Silva.

Commanded by Fausto Silva since March 1989, the program “Domingão do Faustão” became a tradition on Sundays on all Brazilian family televisions. Due to his transfer to another broadcaster, Fausto ended his participation in the program in 2021, passing his legacy on to Luciano Huck.

Hospitalized since August 5th at Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo, for the treatment of serious heart problems, undergoing dialysis sessions, the news that Faustão would need a heart transplant urgently came to light on August 20th.

On Sunday, August 27th, the presenter underwent surgery. After the procedure, doctors at the hospital stated that the operation was a success and that the presenter's life was no longer at risk.
