Fernanda Montenegro and Susana Vieira vent about the lack of opportunities in soap operas

This Tuesday (06), actresses Fernanda Montenegro and Susana Vieira attended the launch of the autobiography of Boni, former president of the Globo network. And they talked to the TV network about their past and future work, praised their former boss and took the opportunity to vent about the world of current dramaturgy.

When asked about Boni, both women showered him with praise: “Boni’s entire period on TV is unforgettable. Brazilian television has to thank God for having him for over 30 years on the station [Rede Globo]. Without him, we would have nothing and we wouldn't be the broadcaster we are today. We are witnesses to what we have been through. From this man, high artistic and economic quality was organized.”said the artists. Furthermore, Susana also highlighted what “Boni managed to make us record in eight hours possible. We traveled abroad, and no one was enslaved. Nowadays it's work, work and work. I think this man is a genius and thanks to him, I got here.”

Queens of dramaturgy

Susana, 82 years old, also declared her love for her friend and actress Fernanda Montenegro, 95 years old. Furthermore, both played with their respective ages and the difference between them. At the end of the interview, when asked about plans to return to soap operas in the future, both stressed that there is no possibility of this happening again due to lack of invitation. “I say sadly, but I don't think so. Looks like it's not in their plans ” stated Susana Vieira. Fernanda Montenegro reinforced her desire to be on theater stages, and that what had to be done on television had already been done.
