Fernando Fernandes undergoes surgical procedure after suffering an accident at sea

Presenter Fernando Fernandes was hospitalized in São Paulo last Monday (5) to undergo a surgical procedure. The arm surgery is used to treat an injury that the athlete suffered while kitesurfing. In a post on his social networks, the presenter of the reality show ''No Limite'' wrote that he was used to making the trip and did not care about the severity of the injury at the time of the fall.

The ex-BBB also reported that he felt pain, but only discovered the injury during a routine examination, where he received a report through an MRI: “'Rupture of the triceps tendon', that despair hit me at the time because I already saw the size of the problem that would lie ahead, after all my arms play a very important role in my life”, said Fernando in text.

The surgery

The athlete traveled to São Paulo to undergo the surgery: ''I arrived in São Paulo and went straight to the doctor, and after a long chat… here I am, in the hospital room waiting for Dr. Ewerton to perform surgery on my arm right and reconnect that triceps tendon.” Fernando received many supportive comments after the report on social media. The presenter of ''Big Brother Brasil'', Tadeu Schmidt wrote: ''It will come back better”. The presenter of ''The Voice Brasil'', Fátima Bernardes wrote afterwards: ''Get well and recover soon''. The model and ex-BBB12 star Jonas Sulzbach left: ''Good recovery bro''.

The presenter's press office and Fernando's personal profile did not update the athlete's medical report.

Presenter Fernando Fernandes became known for participating in the second edition of ''Big Brother Brasil'', in 2002, where he was the third eliminated from the program. He is a former professional football player and has participated in several international fashion shows as a model. Fernando became a paraplegic after a car accident in 2009, where he began his career as a Paralympic athlete.
