Knives Out has an engaging plot, with suspense and mystery. The films also feature an excellent range of actors such as Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Madelyn Cline and Ana de Armas. Its first release was in 2019 on the Netflix platform and received rave reviews.

Franchise plot

The focus is on a detective who is called to solve a murder. Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, is our great protagonist and investigator. In the first film called Knives Out (2019) it is possible to see a complicated family, with many intrigues, secrets and a murder to solve. The second film is called Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) and has a very similar theme, but instead of a family, we follow a group of eccentric friends, gathered on an island, where things get out of control.

The style of director and screenwriter Rian Johnson is very unique, bringing all that fun essence of detective films that is contagious and leaves you trapped in the story, with a touch of old suspense films, however, it is not so tense, the construction The narrative is light and curious with always interesting characters.

New film promises to be a success

After the great phenomenon that was the first film in the franchise, in 2021 Netflix decided to pursue the rights to start producing a sequel with the same director and screenwriter, Rian Johnson. The third film does not yet have an official name, but we know that it will feature the return of Daniel Craig still in the role of Benoit Blanc.

Despite not having an established release date, we know that it will be available soon and apparently with the same type of narrative and audiovisual format. Blanc will become involved in another great mysterious murder and will join a new cast to help, or hinder, in this adventure full of clues and riddles that will gradually reveal the perpetrator of the crime and his reasons for doing so.
