From tennis to poker – Making history in sport is for few. Now, being a reference in your modality and still becoming an example outside the competition environments is something that only the great legends are capable of accomplishing. In a segment that still today has a lot of inequality, athletes from different fields have broken barriers and become true references and inspiration for other women and the new generations.

From tennis courts to poker tables, five champions are more than a mirror for girls who dream of reaching the top of the sport. The only woman elected the best female soccer player in the world six times, the Alagoan from Dois Riachos is considered by many to be the biggest female reference in the sport. Practicing judo since the age of five in a social project, Rafaela suffered from racial and gender prejudice throughout her life, even hearing that she would not be able to complete her studies because of the sport. Today graduated in Physical Education, she is one of the great sports figures in the country and a model of inspiration for new fighters.

Ronda Rousey Many people know fighter Ronda Rousey for her success in MMA, more specifically for her titles and records in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. But Ronda’s great legacy for the sport is its representativeness.
