Game platform Steam breaks its own record: 30 million players online at the same time

Game platform – More than 30 million people were online on Steam at the same time on Sunday. With that, the gaming platform has broken its own record, according to figures.

The record was achieved at 16:00 (Dutch time). Back then, 30,032,005 Steam users were online at once, of whom more than 8.5 million were actually gaming.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensivewas the most popular game at the time. More than a million users were playing that game. Dota 2was in second place with about 750,000 players.

It’s the first time there were more than 30 million Steam users online at once. The previous record dates from the end of March. At the time, 29.98 million users were online at the same time.
