Gareth bale says goodbye to Real Madrid on Wednesday. The Welshman will not renew his expiring contract after nine years at the club that bought him for 100 million euros.

“I am writing this message to thank all my teammates past and present, the coaches and the staff and the fans,” Gareth bale” said in an open letter. “I arrived here nine years ago as a young man who wanted to make his dream come true by playing for Real Madrid.”

“I can now look back and honestly say that that dream has become reality. And much more than that. To have been part of the club’s history and to have achieved what I have achieved as a Real Madrid player has been an incredible experience. I’ll never forget it.”

The 32-year-old “Bale” was presented in 2013 as the most expensive footballer of all time at Real Madrid, but the attacker acquired from Tottenham Hotspur could not impress in recent years in the Spanish capital.

Turnover in CL final highlight of “Gareth bale”

Bale’s highlight was in the 2018 Champions League final against Liverpool, in which he scored two goals. He made one of them with an unparalleled turnover, which he called his most beautiful goal of his career afterwards.

In recent years, Bale became more and more out of the picture at Real Madrid, partly due to a lot of injuries. This season he came to only seven games for the team of coach Carlo Ancelotti, who won the Spanish league title and the Champions League.

It is not yet clear where Bale will continue his career. The Welshman has been linked by British media with a return to Tottenham Hotspur, making waves from 2007 to 2013.
