Gilberto Gil Updates on Sade de Preta Gil: Exciting!

In a recent interview given to the magazine Look, Gilberto Gil told a little about how she is dealing with her daughter's current state of health, the singer Preta Gilwho recently discovered bowel cancer and was hospitalized in April.

Preta Gil is not yet 50 years old and this makes her father even sadder. “It is distressing to see a girl, a daughter who is not even 50 years old, suffering from a terrifying disease,” began Gil.

Preta's father reports that he is in constant contact with his daughter and the doctors. He also says that the family has been together to give strength to the singer. “I talk to Preta all the time, with the doctors, and I read about it. She lives surrounded by her family and we are joining forces and purposes to give her the best treatment,” he continued.

“Along with this, we have to deal with the threat of death. I have said words of resignation in relation to what is inevitable”, finished.

At the end of April, the singer shared some moments from the month after the discovery of the disease. The images released include the father, children, some family members and friends. “A summary of the month of April, without a doubt the most difficult and challenging month of my life, the month where I was reborn and had a second chance to have the privilege of enjoying life with its pains and delights”, she said in an excerpt from the publication.

Preta recently discovered the disease and soon after separated from her personal trainer Rodrigo Godoy. There are rumors that there was betrayal on the part of the athlete. When the disease was discovered and she had to be hospitalized, Rodrigo stayed by his ex-wife's side. However, upon discovering that she had delegated the administration of her own assets to her stepmother, he was outraged and went to get satisfaction from the singer, whose friend Carolina Dieckmann came to his defense.
