Giulia Foganholli presents her new work “A Caçula da Viola”

Country music has been revealing many young talents that mix the traditional with the modern. Among them, Giulia Foganholli stands out. Born in Curitiba, the 12-year-old artist has just taken an important step in her career with the release of her first original work, the song “A Caçula da Viola”, which gives the name to her first EP.

The track brings the essence of viola fashion in a current guise. “I made this song with great affection, because it talks about the country guitar, which is a passion for me. I hope the public enjoys it and feels the love I have for country music”, declares Giulia.

Your talent comes from birth. Daughter of a musician father, Giulia grew up in a family environment where music was always present. At the age of 7, after being encouraged by her father to open her voice, she took her first steps on stage, performing with famous country duos.

It was at the age of 8 that he discovered his true passion: the country guitar. He received the instrument as a gift and, since then, has dedicated himself to mastering all its secrets. Today, at 12, Giulia is already an experienced country guitarist, having as her initial influence the duo Tião Carreiro and Pardinho.

Her ability is also impressive when singing pop hits in English, Spanish and Italian, proving to be a versatile artist. His highlight so far has been participating in The Voice Kids in 2022, where he represented Paraná.

“Participating in The Voice Kids was incredible, I matured and evolved a lot. Now I want to show my original work and maybe release a full CD in the future.”, projects the young woman.

Country music without borders

Country music has been going through a revolution in recent decades, with the emergence of aspects such as university country music. But its roots in viola fashion remain alive through young talent.

“I realize that nowadays country artists are innovating, combining the traditional with pop, funk, arrocha, bringing more young people to this rhythm”, analyzes Giulia. “But we can never forget our roots. I myself try to balance modern with the essence of viola fashion.”

This mix of references is clear in “A Caçula da Viola”. The lyrics are about Giulia's emotional relationship with the guitar since she was little, while the melody adds modern elements to the traditional basis of guitar fashion.

Giulia's innate talent for music was evident in her first performances, at the age of 7. Today, at 12, the Curitiba native continues to impress with her powerful voice, charisma and versatility. His big dream is to take country music to the world, singing in Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian.

“Music has no borders and can generate identification anywhere. I want to spread the essence of Brazilian country music by also taking my art to other countries”, declares the young promise.

With the release of her first authorial work, Giulia shows that she is here to stay and consolidate herself as one of the great revelations of the new country generation.
