GIULIA receives her second Latin Grammy nomination for the track “aviso de amigo:”

The Latin Grammys announced this Tuesday morning (19) the nominations for their 24th annual award and, for the second time in just four years of career, GIULIA is present among the nominees! The song “aviso de amigo:”, which is part of the carioca’s debut album, “DISCO VOADOR”, received a nomination in the “Best Urban Interpretation in Portuguese Language” category.

The singer, who announced last week the change of her artistic name “Giulia Be” to just “GIULIA”, was nominated for the first time in 2021 for “Breakthrough Artist”, being the only Brazilian and youngest nominated in the category, in addition to having performed at the opening of that year's awards ceremony. In 2022, she presented the “Lifetime Achievement Award” to Rita Lee, at the invitation of the academy.

“aviso de amigo:” is the sixth track on “DISCO VOADOR” and was conceived as an extraterrestrial experience, as if the listener had arrived on a new planet or a futuristic version of Earth. “I originally wrote it for another artist to sing, but I found it in my drafts and at the last minute I decided to include it on the album, as I realized that the lyrics gain much more strength in a woman's voice, I think it goes beyond the obvious”, says the singer .

The album, as well as its deluxe version released in July, is thought of as a true journey through the stars and the multiverses of GIULIA's life and work. After releasing “DISCO VOADOR DELUXE”, GIULIA started the “Disco Voador Tour”, the first tour of her career, in August, with two sold-out shows at Portuguese festivals. In Brazil, the tour passed through Fortaleza and Curitiba at the beginning of September and will reach the Southeast of the country next month, ending in Rio de Janeiro, her hometown, on 10/27. With light and danceable songs appearing in her discography along with more melancholic “suffrence” tracks, GIULIA continues to establish herself as one of the most versatile and unique artists in Brazilian pop. In 2021, she debuted as the protagonist in the Netflix film “After the Universe”, which broke all Brazilian records on the platform and was the most watched feature film of the year, entering the top 10 in more than 40 countries.

The Rio native has 1.7 billion streams across digital platforms, 600 million views on YouTube, and more than 13 diamond, gold and platinum certificates.
