How to block a contact on Google Meet

Android

  1. Sign in to Google Meet

  2. Proceed to the information of the person to be blocked

  3. Complete the act

    Soon after, on the next user data screen, tap “Block contact”. Finally, confirm this action.”

Enter the application:

  1. On the Google Meet home screen, tap a conversation with the user you want to block;
  2. Then, at the top of the chat screen, tap the three dots;
  3. Then, in the drop-down window, select “Block user”;
  4. In the new window, confirm the action with “Block”.
  5. If you want to unblock this user, go back to the home screen and, in the top area, tap the three dashes;
  6. Next, in the open tab on the left, tap “Settings”;
  7. On the next screen, under “Account”, tap your email;
  8. Afterwards, in the new area, tap “Blocked users”;
  9. Finally, go to the contact in question and, next to the email, tap “x” to unblock it.

Another option to block someone is through the search field on the Google Meet home screen. There, look for the contact – email address or phone number. Afterwards, in the upper area of ​​the chat screen, tap the three dots. Finally, in the drop-down window, tap “Block user” and confirm this action in the open window. To unlock, check step 5 above.

Google Meet on desktop browser

Access your account on the Google Meet platform:

  1. On the left side of the screen, click on “Connections”;
  2. Next, at the top of the next page, click on the gear icon;
  3. Then, in the opened window, click on the “Blocked users” option;
  4. In the entry field, write the phone number or email address of the contact in question;
  5. Finally, on the right side, click on “Block” and confirm this action in the new opened window;
  6. To unblock this user, return to this same area and, to the right of the phone number or email address, click “x”.
