Grandma Musa – The passista entered the avenue after suffering an injury during a technical rehearsal, Paula Bergamin stepped onto Marquês de Sapucaí once more and showed that she doesn’t have the maximum age to shine on the avenue. Known as ‘Vovó Musa’, she paraded again for Unidos de Vila Isabel on the second night of the parades of the special group samba schools in Rio de Janeiro.

Paula is 61 years old and paraded like on the ground, between two wings. She wore a green costume with some black and orange details.

‘Grandmother Musa’ crossed the avenue even though she was recently injured. During a technical rehearsal, the muse slipped on the wet floor due to the rain and sprained her ankle, even having to undergo physical therapy. But not even the injury would make her withdraw from the parade.

In addition to Paula, the Vila Isabel parade featured other notable personalities. Sabrina Sato entered Sapucaí once again as the school’s drum queen and Gabi Martins paraded for the second consecutive year as a muse.
