Groenen leaves Manchester United –
Jackie Groenen exchanges Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain. The 27-year-old midfielder signed a three-year contract with the club from Paris on Thursday, where she becomes a teammate of Lieke Martens.

Paris Saint-Germain had been in talks for several weeks with Greens, who had been under contract with Manchester United since 2019. According to various French media, she arrived in Paris on Tuesday evening for a meeting with the staff and players of the club.
Groenen leaves Manchester United
Groenen is the second Dutch player to make the switch to Paris Saint-Germain during this transfer period. Earlier this summer, Martens made the switch from FC Barcelona to the French club. Groenen and Martens previously played together at the German FCR Duisburg from 2012 to 2014.
PSG have done everything they can to strengthen the midfield in recent months and have previously secured Oriane Jean-François (Paris FC) and Chinese international Yang Lina (Shanghai Shenli).
Paris Saint-Germain started the competition last week with a 2-0 win over Soyaux, with Martens scoring the first goal. Although the competition is already underway, the French transfer window will not close until September 20.
Groenen played three seasons for United
Groenen played for Manchester United since 2019 and with her transfer to that club was the first non-British player at the English top club.
With United, Groenen finished fourth in the English Super League for the past three seasons. Chelsea won the league title three times in a row.
Greens won the European title with Orange in 2017 and won silver at the World Cup in 2019.
