Gucci launches red lipstick created for Cruise 2025

Ancora's Rosso color has a darker cherry tone and had already been used in the brand's clothes and accessories in last year's fashion shows. With a matte finish and stronger pigmentation, Rosso de Ancora is now also part of Gucci Beauty, with the launch of the lipstick. The packaging is gold and the cap is the same color as the lipstick.

The new launch is for sale on the Gucci website for $47 dollars, approximately R$260. For those who live in Brazil, it is not possible to purchase through the website, however, upon accessing it, information is shown on how to purchase it here on country. The lipstick promises long-lasting hold and a soft finish. Apparently, the color was inspired by the elevator at the Hotel Savoy, where Guccio Gucci – founder of the brand – worked as a luggage handler before starting his career. It was with this work, when observing the suitcases of hotel guests, that Gucci came up with the idea of ​​having his own luxury goods brand.

About Sabato de Sarno

Sabato De Sarno is the current creative director of Gucci, one of the most renowned fashion brands in the world. Born in Naples, Italy, in 1983, De Sarno has extensive experience in the world of fashion. Before taking the creative helm at Gucci, he worked at several prestigious fashion houses.

De Sarno began his career at Prada in 2005, working as a design assistant and his dedication to fashion caught attention, leading to him being promoted to higher positions within the company. In 2009, he joined Dolce & Gabbana, where he continued to hone his skills and develop a unique style. In 2013, Sabato De Sarno was hired by Valentino, where he worked directly with Pierpaolo Piccioli, collaborating on the creation of collections.
