Hailey Bieber shares why she needed surgery and expresses gratitude

On Wednesday, April 27, Hailey Bieber spoke out about a tense moment in her life. In a video released on her YouTube channel, the model explained why she was hospitalized in March.

Hailey explained that she had stroke-like symptoms while having breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber. The model started to feel unwell and couldn't say what was happening. At that moment, according to her, her face began to fall and she couldn't speak. It was difficult to ask for help, but fortunately, Justin paid attention even though he didn't understand exactly what was happening.

Justin called a doctor and the moment remained confusing, because Hailey was able to walk at the same time as she was unable to respond to even short sentences, which in some ways deviates from the pattern of a stroke.

It didn't take long for the model to return to normal. When she arrived at the hospital, she felt fine and even so, she underwent tests that came back negative for a stroke. However, they found that she had suffered a small blood clot in her brain. It wasn't exactly a stroke, but rather a TIA (transient ischemic attack). This explains why she couldn't speak, but couldn't walk. It's not a stroke, but it's similar.

Hailey went in depth to understand and solve the problem. She underwent tests to find a supposed hole in her heart and a justification for the clot, with results that showed there were no such issues. She resorted to more complex and effective methods, thus confirming that there was the supposed hole and that the clot was the result of using certain birth control pills and also a consequence of Covid-19.

The model was informed that there was an opening in the wall of the heart and this space caused the blood clot to travel to the brain, causing the ATI.

Hiley then underwent medical monitoring and the medications they recommended so that the tissue from her own heart would cover the space. To complete the treatment, the model underwent a successful surgery and can now express gratitude and relief for having resolved the situation.

“I feel great and relieved that we were able to resolve everything,” said Hailey and concluded by expressing gratitude for being able to continue life normally after such a big scare.
