His Reason for Returning to Marvel Revealed!

Actor Oscar Isaac revealed the reason why he agreed to participate in Marvel's Moon Knight series, even though a bad experience as the villain in the film X-Men Apocalypse (2016) was bad for him.

Isaac, 42, has major projects in his career, perhaps the most notable being his role in the latest Star Wars trilogy, as Poe Dameron. But he is also involved in films such as Ex Machina (2014); A Most Violent Year (2014); At Eternity's Gate (2018), and Dune (2021), which has a release date set for October 22 of this year.

In an interview with the British magazine Total Filmhe explained why he agreed to participate in this new project: “Every morning the alarm goes off and I can't wait to get to work. We're having so much fun with it.”and continued “It's not so much about the genre of things. It's the people. And isn't there room to do something interesting with that? And sometimes there is, and sometimes you think there will be, but it turns out there isn't.”said the actor.

He also commented that he loved the names of the people involved in the project and that it will be something different from the usual in the world of heroes. “I love the people involved. I thought there was an incredibly unusual story to tell in the superhero language. But we're doing something that's very different, and that doesn't follow the same logic as a lot of superhero movies (…) Because of that, I just found an opportunity to do something that I haven't done before.”concluded Isaac.

Moon Knight does not yet have a confirmed release date, and not much about the plot has been revealed. The cast of this series also includes Gaspard Uiel (The Revolution in Paris); Ethan Hawke (The Purge) and May Calamawy (Ramy).
