Hitman studio is working on an online fantasy RPG

Hitman studio – IO Interactive, responsible for the Hitman franchise, announced that it is creating an online fantasy RPG. The developer said that the project is inspired by game books like Fighting Fantasy (Fantastic Adventures, in Brazil), which allow readers to choose their own path.

“We are embarking on a new adventure. One that expands our creativity, our capabilities and, in a sense, our identity. We are building a new world, a new IP: an online fantasy RPG,” the studio said in a statement .

“A world and game built from the ground up to entertain players and expand for years to come. It feels familiar, but at the same time IOI is going on a journey unlike any we’ve taken before.”

The company explained that the diversity of roles in the Fantastic Adventures books reflected how they wanted to build the game. Tabletop game roles such as game master, storyteller, guide, and villain all came together to create unique experiences.

“All studios participate in the creation of all of our games, including this new venture. People from all over the world with diverse personalities and abilities are coming together to forge a new beginning.”

It is worth remembering that in 2020 IO Interactive announced that it was working on a James Bond game. Then, in 2021, it said it had started developing a new IP, and now we know it’s about this online fantasy RPG.
