Netflix is expanding its gaming initiative, initially launched for mobile devices in 2021, to be accessed on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Find out how to play Netflix games on Smart TV.

Now the service is starting to expand its range of operations, allowing users to play directly on the TV. The feature is currently in beta testing, only available in the UK and Canada for select members. Step by Step to play on Netflix

Time required: 5 minutes

Open the Netflix app
Open the Netflix app on your TV or compatible streaming device. Look for the
games section.
Select the Game
On the next screen, select the game you want to play. (Remember that the image below shows several games on the platform, for mobile devices, on Smart TVs only the games Oxenfree and Molehew's Minig Adventure are available).
Connect your cell phone as a control
If you do not have an appropriate joystick for your Smart TV, you can use your smartphone. To do this, scan the QR code displayed on your TV to install and configure the Netflix Game Controller application (which must have been previously downloaded on your cell phone).
Start playing
Start playing using the app controls on your cell phone.

Currently, only two games are available for the following devices and TVs:

Amazon Fire TV (including Fire TV Stick 4K)
Chromecast with Google TV
LG TVs
Nvidia Shield TV
Roku (devices and TVs)
Samsung TVs
Walmart ONN

For those who prefer to play on the computer, Netflix also plans to make games available in browsers. This feature will be rolling out “in the coming weeks.” Once available, simply access the Netflix.com website through a compatible browser and locate the games section.

Although the company has not yet specified which browsers will work, it is likely that the most popular ones, such as Chrome, Edge and Firefox, will be supported.
