EA Sports FC 25 arrived in September 2024 for users of PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch consoles and also for PC. Despite being long-awaited, the game divided opinions, as it presented few changes to the gameplay in other aspects, when compared to the previous one.

Before teaching the tutorial, it is important to remember two important points. The first is that EA FC 25 does not have a Brazilian League and, therefore, the only way to play with Brazilian teams is to play the Copa Libertadores da América mode, be it the full tournament or friendlies. As a result, only the teams that qualified for the 2024 edition of the competition are present in the game. They are:

Atlético MG
Botafogo
Flemish
Fluminense
Grêmio
Palm trees
São Paulo.

The second point is that the teams do not present the original squads in the game, using generic players. This is because there is an extensive legal fight between Eletronic Arts and representatives of players and clubs in the country, preventing them from appearing officially in the game again.

Time required: 10 minutes

Choose the “Quick Game” option on the game’s main screen;
Then, press “R1” on PlayStation or “RB” on Xbox to change the tab.
Go to CONMEBOL Libertadores;
Then, press “X” on PlayStation or “A” on Xbox to move forward;
Choose a game scenario, which could be a Libertadores da América group match, or a simulation of the final between two participating teams;
In the “CONMEBOL Libertadores Friendly” option, it is possible to play a match between clubs in the competition against teams from around the world;
On the next screen, choose your team's side;
Now, choose the teams that will be in contention.
Remember that, to choose Brazilian teams, you need to change the league to “CONMEBOL”;
Choose the uniforms used in the game;
Afterwards, you can change the starting options;
It is possible to change everything from the team's starting lineup, to game settings, such as difficulties, stadium, time and weather, among others.
And that's it! You can now play and have fun with the national teams in the game.

Why doesn't EA FC 25 have all the teams from the Brazilian Championship?

The reason for this is a little complex and involves several factors, such as lawsuits filed by players against Eletronic Arts and even licensing of teams and tournaments with rival games, such as eFootball, from Konami. The situation involves legal problems, high-value contracts between clubs and the person responsible for the football game franchise.

Some of the reasons are:

Pelé Law on image rights in Brazil: guarantees that players who play in the country have a series of rights in relation to their profession as an athlete, since 1998;
Low value offered to Brazilian clubs;
Athlete contracts without some clauses, directly linked to image use contracts.

Other leagues, such as those in England, Germany and Argentina are officially in the game, and the reason is the way each of them negotiates with Eletronic Arts and other games.
